mixed experience, location is fine
small room inappropriate gratuity
the location met my expectations as it was easily accessible to the main sites.
the room i booked, a superior double room, was quite small. it did not feel worthy of a five-star hotel. i also noticed the elevator only stopped at even floors, inconvenient. staff asked for an employee gratuity, this felt inappropriate.

convenient location diverse menu attentive staff
i found the location convenient, placing me steps away from cultural landmarks. the staff was always available and provided helpful considerations to visit the city. the breakfast buffet impressed me with its diverse menu. rossella and sweta were particularly kind and attentive at breakfast.
the elevator only goes to even floors, so i had to use the stairs once .

the hotel sits directly at the canale grande, offering immediate access to waterway transportation. a vaporetto station (salute) is conveniently nearby, simplifying travel around the area. the guggenheim museum is also close.

the concierge, stefano, gave us useful advice for exploring the city. the reception staff was available and helpful throughout my visit. they aided with various requests effectively. the hotel offered room upgrades.

the hotel is situated a short walk or water taxi ride from the center of activity. it is located next door to the basilica di santa maria church. the hotel provides a quiet setting away from busy areas.
